Qualifications

• All armed security personnel must meet at least one of the listed requirements (experience or equivalent education).
• State security license or equivalent credential required.
• Certification in use of weapons may be required depending on contract.

Responsibilities

• Respond to active shooter by moving toward shots fired and neutralizing threat as applicable.
• Follow post orders—general and site-specific.
• Use graduated force to ensure only necessary force is used.
• Patrol buildings and grounds; observe for security issues and disturbances.
• Report irregularities and unsafe conditions; document events and inspections.
• Lock and unlock doors and secure premises; monitor safety equipment.
• Record inspections and incidents in logs and reports.
