Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Valid driver’s license as per policy.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct armed patrols of rail yards, terminals, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeters.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, document activity, and report suspicious behavior.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, clear communication to site contacts and responders.
• Carry authorized equipment and prepare accurate incident reports and logs.
