Qualifications

• At least one year of armed security-related experience, law enforcement, and/or military background.
• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted as part of employment.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site-specific procedures, government facility policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of assigned buildings, courtyards, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain documentation of patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities.
