Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Armed) in Bayboro, NC. You will provide security for government corrections locations, perform armed patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents according to site procedures.

Expect to carry out customer service duties for staff and visitors, complete reports, and maintain readiness of equipment. A valid Armed Guard Card/License, 6 months armed security or related experience, and a compliant driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, unusual conditions, and incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment, complete required reports, and communicate observations and concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

• Tue: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
