Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer with an active DoD clearance for the Poway location. Open availability with a pay rate of $26 per hour. Must hold a DoD clearance and have an exposed firearm permit.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (or 5 years of verifiable experience), DoD clearance, and at least 3 years on a DoD-cleared site or military background. Age 21+ and strong communication are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience.
• DoD security clearance at an appropriate level is required.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.
• Minimum 3 years security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military.
• Must be 21 years of age or older; strong communications.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate wireless client-site tech.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services safeguarding people, property, and information.
• Conduct patrols on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to protect assets and information.
• Greet guests and employees, escort visitors and contractors to secure points.
• Follow site-specific post orders; report safety concerns and incidents promptly.
• Respond to alarms and act as a first responder in emergencies.

Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Armed Security Officer with active DoD Clearance for Poway location.

MUST HAVE ACTIVE DOD CLEARANCE AND VALID EXPOSED FIREARM PERMIT

Schedule: open availability

Pay rate $26/hour

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Greet guests and employees and escorts visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations

Qualifications (must Have)

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
  • Prior military experience
• Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

Preferred Qualifications (nice To Have)

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
