Job summary

ASAP Security, a Columbus, Ohio-based security company with more than 20 years of experience, is seeking an Armed Security Officer to patrol and secure assigned premises, protect employees, visitors, and property, and identify potential safety and security risks. Commissioned Police Officers and experienced Armed Security Officers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include visitor check-in, monitoring for theft or infractions, reporting hazards, and coordinating with emergency services

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields.
• Familiarity with security equipment.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Registration/sign-in of visitors or clients with appointments (may include bag search).
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Warn violators of rules and regulations.
• Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Check doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper functionality.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
