Job Description

As an Armed Security Officer Asset Protection in Albuquerque, NM , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. You will respond to incidents, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures and applicable laws.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, loading areas, parking lots, and the surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
