Job summary

Crane Currency is seeking a 3rd shift Armed Security Officer in Nashua, NH. Shift runs 11:00pm–7:00am, Mon–Fri, with weekends/holidays rotating. The role focuses on protecting products and people, enforcing security protocols, and monitoring access control, CCTV, and alarms.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of armed security, military, or law enforcement experience, or an associate degree or higher in criminal justice or related field.
• Ability to obtain Basic 1st Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Ability to obtain Armed Guard License in NH.
• Basic computer skills.
• High energy with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Adaptable in a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong conflict management and conflict resolution skills.
• Overtime and travel to Crane facilities may be required.
• U.S. Citizens and suitability for employment in a Position of Public Trust per government contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access control, intrusion detection and surveillance systems.
• Investigate unusual activity and prevent unauthorized access.
• Use non-deadly force or firearms per policy as needed for defense.
• Inspect outgoing parcels and track secure material shipments.
• Perform interior and exterior patrols and report hazards or improvements.
• Prepare comprehensive incident reports and investigations.
• Enforce safety policies and report violations to Security Supervisor.
• Provide basic medical care and assist emergency responders when needed.

Crane Currency has an immediate position opening for a 3rd shift Armed Security Officer, based out of Nashua, New Hampshire. The shift schedule is 11:00pm - 7:00am, Monday - Friday. Must be able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Monitoring access control, intrusion detection and surveillance systems and investigating unusual activity.
• Preventing unauthorized access to the premises by engaging in security questioning or contacting local law enforcement.
• Using non-deadly force or firearms for self-defense or defense of another person per policies and procedures.
• Inspecting all outgoing parcels and tracking the receipt of secure material shipped from the facility.
• Performing interior and exterior visual patrols, reporting vulnerabilities, potential hazards, unusual findings, or ideas for improvements.
• Comprehensive incident reporting of unusual activity and investigative outcome.
• Enforcing all safety and security policies and procedures and reporting violations to the Security Supervisor.
• Providing basic medical care and facilitating access for emergency responders in the event of an emergency.

Required:

• 1-2 years of experience in armed security, military, or law enforcement or an associate degree or higher in criminal justice or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Basic 1st Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Armed Guard License in State of NH.
• Basic computer skills.
• High energy with the ability to prioritize and multi-task many activities at the same time.
• Ability to display confidence and be adaptive in a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong conflict management and conflict resolution skills.
• Position subject to mandatory overtime based on staffing requirements.
• Position subject to travel to Crane facilities in support of security requirements.
• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and will need to demonstrate Suitability for employment in a Position of Public Trust consistent with our U.S. Government contract requirements.

• Knowledge of CCTV, premise alarm protection, and access control systems.
