Job summary

Crane NXT is seeking a 3rd shift Armed Security Officer based in Nashua, New Hampshire. The role operates from 11:00pm to 7:00am, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays to ensure coverage.

You will protect our people and assets, monitor access control and surveillance, respond to incidents, and support emergency procedures while adhering to policy and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of armed security, military, or law enforcement experience.
• Ability to obtain Basic 1st Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Armed Guard License in NH.
• High energy with the ability to prioritize and multi-task many activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access control, intrusion detection and surveillance systems and investigate unusual activity.
• Prevent unauthorized access to the premises by engaging in Security Questioning or contacting local law enforcement.
• Use non-deadly force or firearms for self-defense or defense of another person per policies and procedures.
• Inspect all outgoing parcels and track the receipt of secure material shipped from the facility.
• Perform interior and exterior visual patrols, reporting vulnerabilities, potential hazards, unusual findings, or ideas for improvements.
• Comprehensive incident reporting of unusual activity and investigative outcome.
• Enforce all safety and security policies and procedures and report violations to the Security Supervisor.
• Provide basic medical care and facilitate access for Emergency Responders in the event of an emergency.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

• 1 - 2 years of experience in armed security, military, or law enforcement or an associate degree or higher in criminal justice or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Basic 1st Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Armed Guard License in State of NH.
• Basic computer skills.
• High energy with the ability to prioritize and multi-task many activities at the same time.
• Ability to display confidence and be adaptive in a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong conflict management and conflict resolutions skills.
• Position subject to mandatory overtime based on staffing requirements.
• Position subject to travel to Crane facilities in support of Security requirements.
• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and will need to demonstrate Suitabilityfor employment in a Position of Public Trust consistent with our U.S. Government contract requirements

Preferred:

• Knowledge of CCTV, premise alarm protection, and access control systems preferred.
