Job summary

Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC seeks a Security Officer to patrol and staff posts, deter crime, and respond to emergencies at a 24/7 on-site location in Texas. Flexible shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am) are available.

The role requires weapon proficiency, de-escalation, and reporting duties to protect Oncor personnel and property. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with 3+ years of security/military police or related credentials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; various experience paths accepted.
• Active security or law enforcement background preferred.
• Ability to carry weapons and use protective gear as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patrol services or staff fixed posts to deter crime.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure safety of employees and visitors.
• Control access to facilities and monitor post orders.
• Observe, report incidents, and assist first responders when needed.
• Perform site tours and inspect safety systems and equipment.
• Enforce site regulations and respond to BERP activations.
