Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
• Minimum age 21.
• Able to pass background investigation, drug screening, and physical examination.
• Handgun proficiency and ability to meet certification standards.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, including report writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed security and access control services.
• Safeguard government property, classified materials, and personnel.
• Monitor and control entry/exit points to prevent unauthorized access.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activity.
• Apply training and judgment to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Enforce all security regulations and report violations.
• Maintain knowledge of post orders and duties.
• Complete incident reports clearly and timely.
• Perform heavy work and stand for extended periods (including 12-hour shifts).
• Work outdoors in varying weather and temperatures; navigate stairs and ladders.
