We are seeking multiple dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. This role requires a strong presence, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will work closely with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, ensuring the highest level of safety and security.

Scheduling:

• Contract Security Officer for a temporary assignment until the beginning of September
• 12 hour shifts (5a-5p and 5p-5a)

Duties

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Uphold and maintain all site procedures and standards
• Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to observe and report any unusual behavior.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as needed.
• Conduct thorough inspections of premises, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
• Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in conflict management situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies.
• Document incidents accurately in reports for future reference.
• Provide loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.

Requirements

• Experience in law enforcement or security-related fields is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must hold a valid Michigan CPL
• Must be over 18 years old
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
• Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods; ability to lift moderate weights may be required.
