Inter-Con is searching for aspiring individuals to join our team of Armed Security Officers. You'll work as part of a close-knit team to provide security services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol on foot or vehicle, observe and maintain security at client facilities, stations, bus stops, and public areas to detect damage, misuse, or theft; issue warnings and make citizen's arrests.
• Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas of client facilities and rights-of-way.
• Interface with the public, providing information about system use and other necessary details.
• Prepare and submit security reports; assist investigators as needed.
• Participate in special enforcement activities, including fare inspections and onboard passenger monitoring.
• Respond effectively to calls for assistance.
• Maintain a positive client image by being culturally sensitive and courteous to employees, invitees, and guests.

Qualifications:

• Possess an Exposed Firearms Permit
• Possess a current guard card
• CPR/First-Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens Certification
• Valid California Driver's License
• Must be 21 years or older
• Physical ability to perform duties, including standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs., and running

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
