International Protective Service, Inc. (IPS) is seeking qualified and professional security officer candidates for future positions in Malibu, California. Armed Security Officers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Prior military/law enforcement experience preferred but not required.
• Valid California State Driver's License.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• No criminal convictions that would prevent obtaining/maintaining a Security Guard License.
• Proficiency in English (speaking and writing).
• Clean driving record.
• Must currently hold a valid CA Guard Card, Exposed Firearm permit, baton, and OC permits. Taser certification with proof of training is required if applicable.
• Standing guard posts in uniform.
• Serve as a first responder at posted locations.
• Warn violators of premises rules.
• Apprehend or expel individuals engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Report facility issues and hazards.
• Write concise, accurate reports with proper spelling and grammar.
• Report criminal or suspicious activity to law enforcement.

Prior employment, criminal, and credit history will be verified. Drug testing is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting hourly rate: $20/hr (based on experience)

Pay: $20-25.00 per hour

Benefits include dental, health, and vision insurance, paid sick leave.

Experience and Schedule

Preferred 4 years of experience.

Schedules include day and night shifts.
