Job description

We are seeking reliable and experienced Armed Security Officers to become an integral part of our team. These Armed Security Officers will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. Full-time and part-time positions are available. The pay for this Armed Security Officer position is $22 per hour.

Responsibilities :

1. Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
2. Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
3. Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
4. Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
5. Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
6. Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations

Qualifications :

1. Must have an active and valid armed VA DCJS license (MUST HOLD A VIRGINIA STATE DCJS ARMED LICENSE)
2. MUST have at least 2 years of previous active duty military, law enforcement, or corrections experience
3. Must be capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, running, physically restraining a violent person, lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs
4. Strong attention to detail
