Job summary

Chesley Brown International is seeking part-time Armed Security Officers in the Westport area. The role requires a valid Armed Security Officer license, a minimum of two years of armed security, and a high school diploma or GED.

You will provide excellent customer service while protecting property and people. Responsibilities include patrols, incident reporting, and coordination with law enforcement and management.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Armed Security Officer license in accordance with state/local regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required; additional security or criminal justice education a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize the arrival/departure of employees, visitors, and others to maintain security detail.
• Conduct regular patrols of designated area by foot and/or company vehicle.
• Be aware and report suspicious activity.
• Write detailed reports on daily activities/incidents.
• Communicate effectively with law enforcement, supervisor and property management as needed.
• Maintain high visibility and attentiveness to detail.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
• Oversee daily security operations.

As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting property, deterring unlawful behavior, and responding swiftly to incidents—all while providing exceptional customer service in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Armed Security Officer license in accordance with state/local regulations
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military preferred
• Valid firearm permit and ability to demonstrate proficiency with assigned weapon
• High School Diploma or GED required; additional security or criminal justice education a plus
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Must be physically fit, able to stand or patrol for extended periods, and work in various environments
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain) preferred
• Must have reliable transportation and be punctual for all assigned shifts

Summary
