Job summary

Strategic Security (SSC) seeks an Armed Security Guard to provide a visible security presence inside a government facility in Georgia. The role requires professionalism, strong situational awareness, and the ability to responsibly carry an armed firearm in accordance with state laws and company policy.

Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring CCTV and access control, controlling entry/egress, reporting incidents, and coordinating with local law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess State Licensed Armed Security Guard Card/License if required by locality.
• Proven ability to follow orders and work under direction.

As an Armed Security Guard, you will be responsible for providing a visible security presence and maintaining a safe and secure environment within an indoor government facility. This role requires professionalism, strong situational awareness, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to responsibly carry and maintain authorized firearms in accordance with state laws and company policy.Primary responsibilities include conducting indoor foot patrols, monitoring surveillance and alarm systems, controlling access and egress, observing and reporting suspicious activity, and responding appropriately to safety or security concerns within the facility. Officers are expected to complete accurate reports and maintain detailed logs in accordance with post orders and company policy.In addition to physical security duties, this position actively supports SSC’s G.E.T. Principles — Greet, Engage, and Thank, ensuring a positive experience for employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct routine and random indoor security patrols throughout the government facilityObserve, report, and deter theft, misconduct, and suspicious behaviorMonitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systemsControl entry and exit points and verify authorized accessIdentify and address safety hazards or irregular conditionsRespond to incidents and emergencies; notify law enforcement or emergency services as requiredMaintain and carry authorized firearm/equipment in accordance with company policy and state regulationsAssist with basic first aid and emergency notificationsPrepare detailed written reports on incidents, accidents, and suspicious activityServe as a liaison with local law enforcement and facility management when necessaryMaintain a clean, professional, and orderly post area at all timesCustomer Service & Engagement (G.E.T.
