POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc., a company of Afognak Native Corporation, has opportunities for part-time Armed Security Officers. The role of the Armed Security Officer is a part-time position located in Denver, Colorado, supporting a commercial aviation manufacturer. Alutiiq Diversified Services provides armed Security Officers at an aviation assembly plant. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responding to various calls and incidents.
• Safeguarding and securing all scenes.
• Performing crowd control when necessary.
• Conducting personnel, vehicular, and facility checks.
• Providing First Aid and CPR as required.
• Completing reports, forms, and procedures via electronic security systems.
• Familiarity with security systems such as CCTV, access control, emergency notifications, and mobile security apps.
• Maintaining and qualifying with assigned weapons, adhering to uniform and grooming standards.
• Safeguarding assets, assisting motorists, and escorting persons and equipment as needed.
• Performing other duties in accordance with established SOPs.

Pay rate: $25.70 to $26.10 hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Fluent in English, with good reading and comprehension skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications and quick to learn new software.
• Willing to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Completion of approximately 80 hours of company-provided training (scheduled 7 days a week).
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical exam, drug screen, and Physical Readiness Test.
• Completion of training in Expandable Baton, Defensive Tactics, and incident report writing.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid state-issued Armed Security Officer license and Concealed Carry Permit (if applicable).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Education and Experience:

• Three years of security experience within the past five years, or
• An associate’s degree or at least 60 college credit hours, or
• Three years of military or National Guard service (active or reserve), or
• Completion of Police Officer Standard Training (POST), or
• A combination of the above qualifications.
