Job summary

Platinum-Group-Security in Atlanta, GA is hiring an Armed Security Officer for seasonal work. You will maintain a visible presence, deter illegal activity, respond to incidents, and conduct patrols to protect personnel and property.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, GA Blue Card, and 3 years of security experience (armed preferred). Training and professional development are provided, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Blue Card in GA (or eligibility to obtain one).
• 4-year criminal justice degree preferred but not required.
• 3 years' experience as an unarmed security or previous experience as armed security officer.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure safety of personnel, visitors, and property.
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises.
• Use customer service and communication skills to deescalate tense or potentially violent situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Document and report incidents, activities, and observations using company forms.
• Inspect premises for security risks and report findings.
• Maintain current armed security license in Georgia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises.
• Use excellent customer service and communication skills to deescalate tense or potentially violent situations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
• Accurately document and report incidents, activities, and observations using company-approved forms and protocols.
• Inspect the premises for security risks, hazards, or violations and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current armed security license in Georgia.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (minimum of 1 hour).
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Must be capable of functioning independently and remaining calm in high-pressure or intense situations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid "Blue Card" in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, corrections, Military (with a clear stipulation that your service have been as military police MOS) or a related field is preferred.
• Possess a 4-year criminal justice degree preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have one or both of the following qualifications: 3 years' experience as an unarmed security or previous experience as an armed security officer.
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
• Must pass a background check.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Primary post will be at one of our locations in Georgia.
