Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX is seeking a part-time Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver Level Three to safeguard a retail location. This role requires a valid driver’s license, Texas Level III Armed Certification, and flexible day shifts.

As an Armed Patrol Officer, you will conduct regular patrols, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while documenting incidents and coordinating with management and law enforcement as needed. Pay is $26.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 years armed security experience.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Texas Level III Armed Certification required.
• Must be at least 21 for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of store interior, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity to management/Law enforcement.
• Document incidents and communicate with store management and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver Level Three in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and employees. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store interior, parking areas, loading zones, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrols, and observations accurately, and communicate with store management, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least five years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
