Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Deterrence Patrol in Salisbury, NC to protect clients across government facilities and other sites. You will conduct routine armed patrols, deter incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations while maintaining clear communication and high customer service.

This full-time role requires an armed guard card or license, must be at least 21, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeters, access points, grounds, and parking areas, while observing and reporting unusual conditions or activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following post orders and procedures.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of authorized movement throughout the location.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel and emergency responders.

• Thur: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sat: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
