Job summary

Silver Star Protection Group is seeking an Armed Security Guard for client-site security in St. Louis. The role requires an armed license, the ability to own a firearm with a Level 2 retention holster, and cannabis agent ID.

Expect shifts Fri–Sun, 7:00am–7:00pm, with potential site changes based on client needs. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, prior armed security experience, and the ability to pass a drug test.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Armed license required.
• Cannabis agent ID required.
• Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Able to pass a drug test (St. Louis specific).
• Previous armed security or related experience preferred.
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
• Capable to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed; schedules may change based on client needs and staffing.
• Maintain professionalism in interactions with clients, visitors, and staff; foster a secure environment.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance per client protocols.
• Document incidents and report to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by SSPG leadership.
