Job summary

Silver Star Protection Group is seeking an Armed Security Guard for client-site coverage in the Boardman/Youngstown, OH area. The role requires open availability across shifts, with flexibility to adjust to client needs and contract changes.

Requirements include a high school diploma, active OPOTA, and ownership of a firearm with a Level 2 retention holster or higher. Prior armed security experience is preferred, and excellent communication and situational awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active OPOTA required.
• Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Previous armed security experience preferred.
• Strong situational awareness and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site, ensuring safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed; schedules may change based on client needs.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance equipment per client protocols.
• Document incidents and report them promptly for follow-up.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by SSPG leadership.
