Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, active OPOTA certification, and own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher. Prior armed security experience is preferred. Salary is $20.00 per hour with weekly pay.

Responsibilities

• Provide security at the client site(s) and protect personnel, property, and assets.
• Work various shifts and client sites as needed; schedules may change.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance as per client protocol.
• Document incidents and report them promptly for follow-up.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Description

Position: Armed Security Guard

Location: Boardman / Youngstown, OH

Schedule: Open Availability

Status: Full-Time

Position Overview: The Security Guard is responsible for providing security services at a client site(s) during scheduled shifts. The guard's schedule, site assignments, and hours are subject to change based on client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, and contract adjustments. While SSPG strives to accommodate preferred schedules, flexibility is essential for the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed. Schedule and locations may change depending on client needs, staffing requirements, or other operational factors.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff. Ensure that all communication fosters a positive and secure environment.
• Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment, ensuring adherence to the client’s security protocols.
• Accurately document any incidents, security breaches, or irregularities, and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
• Additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership team.

Requirements

• Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Previous armed security or related experience preferred.

Schedule and Availability

• Guards are expected to work scheduled shifts at their assigned client sites.
• Shifts, site assignments, and schedules are subject to change based on client and SSPG needs.
• Flexibility is required to work additional shifts, including on-call or emergency coverage when needed.
