Job summary

Silver Star Protection Group is seeking a Part-time Armed Security Guard in Columbus, OH. The guard will protect client sites, perform patrols, monitor surveillance, and document incidents while remaining adaptable to changing schedules and locations.

Requirements include a high school diploma, OPOTA, and ownership of a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher. Prior armed security experience and strong de-escalation skills are preferred. Weekly pay and referral bonuses are offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed. Schedule and locations may change depending on client needs, staffing requirements, or other operational factors.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff. Ensure that all communication fosters a positive and secure environment.
• Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment, ensuring adherence to the client’s security protocols.
• Accurately document any incidents, security breaches, or irregularities, and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
• Additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership team.

Position Overview

The Security Guard is responsible for providing security services at a client site(s) during scheduled shifts. The guard's schedule, site assignments, and hours are subject to change based on client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, and contract adjustments. While SSPG strives to accommodate preferred schedules, flexibility is essential for the role.
