Position Overview

Join our security team as an Armed Security Guard 1. This entry-level role offers a pathway to Security Guard 2 within three months, upon successful SG2 testing. Your responsibilities include monitoring traffic, ensuring safety protocols, acting as a Certified Weighmaster, vehicle inspections, and surveillance.

Ideal candidates value teamwork, professionalism, and communication. You will be trained in Active Shooter response, Taser, and firearms proficiency, enabling you to protect and serve confidently.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Knowledge of security systems.
• Background checks and SLED Security Officer Registration Certificate required.
• Basic MS Word skills; current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Complete Taser and SLED Security Weapons Permit training.
• Ability to climb stairs/ladders, stand, sit, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle; safe driving record.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice.
• Experience with routine duties and independent work.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Current SLED Security Weapons Permit and Security Officer Registration Certificate.
