Job Summary

Provide security as outlined in post orders and establish relationships with customers, law enforcement, and fire departments. Maintain awareness of surroundings, noting all activity in the assigned area. Demonstrate professionalism and excellent customer service.

Basic Functions

1. Control entrances and manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
2. Patrol buildings and perimeters.
3. Escort materials and personnel.
4. Inspect security and fire exposures.
5. Perform special assignments as required.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time in full uniform.
• Greet visitors politely and professionally.
• Stay updated on post orders and general information.
• Patrol property or remain at fixed posts, reporting suspicious activity and incidents.
• Monitor cameras and equipment as per post orders.
• Understand emergency procedures and respond appropriately.
• Complete all relevant reports and logs.
• Recommend safety improvements to management.
• Maintain knowledge of safety systems and ensure their operation.
• Ensure compliance with training guidelines and regulations.
• Communicate security issues to supervisors daily.
