Overwatch Security Group (OSG) is seeking dependable, professional armed security professionals for our growing team in Phoenix, AZ. Candidates must possess a current Arizona DPS Armed Guard Card or be eligible to obtain one before assignment, and demonstrate sound judgment and professionalism.

The role includes patrols, access control, incident reporting, and coordination with public safety partners. OSG offers competitive pay and ongoing training opportunities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Arizona DPS Armed Guard Card or be able to qualify under AZDPS standards before deployment.
• Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and employment verification.
• Must successfully complete firearms qualification and company defensive tactics training.
• Must be reliable, professional, and a team player.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of standing, walking, or patrolling for extended periods at a time.
• Must possess reliable transportation and be able to travel to assigned work locations, training, and meetings.
• Valid and in good standing driver license.
• Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required licensing throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible armed security presence to deter crime and ensure safety of clients.
• Monitor, patrol, and secure assigned premises (foot, vehicle, or static post assignments).
• Enforce access control, verify identification, and monitor security systems when required.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and incidents with professionalism and in accordance with company Use-of-Force policies.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and equipment checklists.
• Maintain excellent communication with supervisors, clients, and public safety partners (law enforcement, EMS, fire).
• Ensure compliance with Arizona DPS licensing requirements, firearms qualification standards, and company training protocols.
• Represent Overwatch Security Group (OSG) with professionalism, integrity, and respect in all client and public interactions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior service in the U.S. Armed Forces with Honorable Discharge.
• Prior experience as a sworn law enforcement officer.
• Minimum of 2 years of security guard experience is preferred.
• Experience in executive protection, mobile patrol, or specialized security assignments.
• CPR, First Aid, or tactical medical certification
• Advanced firearms training or instructor-level credentials.
