Job summary

Advanced Professional Security (APS) is seeking dedicated individuals for unarmed security guard roles in the Phoenix metro area. The ideal candidate is observant, calm under pressure, and able to uphold a professional appearance while protecting residents and clients.

Positions include full-time and part-time shifts with flexible day, swing, and night hours. Candidates must meet licensing requirements and be able to travel to client sites within 30 minutes of home.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to obtain AZDPS Security Guard License.
• Able to stand, sit, and walk up to 10 hours; lift up to 25 lbs.
• English written or oral; must speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance of the assigned site and follow post orders.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and other security personnel.
• Provide immediate notifications when needed.
• Maintain a professional presence in uniform and PPE as required.
• Stay informed of security orders, directives, and procedures.
• Provide directions or guidance as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our ideal candidate is observant, composed under pressure, professional in appearance and behavior, has unwavering integrity, and self-discipline while possessing strong written and verbal communication skills. Our clients and their guests expect nothing less than the best from APS and we are looking to deliver them to ensure the safety of residents, their guests, and visitors.

Essential Functions and Responsibility

• Conduct surveillance of the assigned site or post and ensure post orders are followed as written and trained.
• Follow established protocols, respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Collaborate effectively with law enforcement and other security personnel to coordinate efforts and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Make immediate emergency notifications as necessary when confronted with creditable information.
• Maintain a command presence while appearing on post in accordance with uniform and PPE standards (as needed for individual assignment).
• Remain knowledgeable of security orders, directives, and procedures at all times.
• Provide directions or guidance as necessary.
• Other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to perform all functions of the job with, or without, reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to carry out instructions furnished in English written or oral form as well as speak and comprehend English without translation.
• Must be neat, well-groomed and present a professional appearance.
• Able to meet any special qualifications set forth in post orders or other relevant protocols and directives.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona Security Guard License - AZDPS Security Guard Form Triage
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk up to 10-hours, lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Reliably commute to client sites located within 30-minutes of your home address.

Schedule

We are looking for both Full-Time and Part-Time positions for our current client needs. We have Day, Swings, and Night shifts available.

This role will remain open until properly filled with our ideal candidates.
