Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Driver Patrol Deterrence Security Officer in Miami, FL, to safeguard government facilities and the surrounding area. You will conduct responsible armed patrols, maintain access control, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The role is full-time with an hourly pay rate of $22.26. You’ll join a dynamic team, work to deter incidents, and support post orders and emergency protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license required.
• Age 21 or older.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.
• DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, police academy or corrections academy certificate accepted.
• Experience with restraints (handcuffs) and pepper spray preferred.
• Background check and drug screen are required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site policies and emergency procedures at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry; report suspicious activity and violations to the right personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergencies according to post orders and protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs, incident documentation, and communications with supervisors and authorities.
