Job summary

Allied Universal in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a part-time Security Officer Armed Driving Role to monitor and protect clients across various facilities. This role involves vehicle patrols, armed post duties, strong communication, and a customer-service approach to support daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of security experience, an armed guard card/license, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Will undergo a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Will undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Will participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and processing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, or security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Support access control, vehicle inspections, and incident reporting responsibilities while remaining prepared to respond to medical, fire, and other emergency situations based on post orders and location requirements.
