Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, including emergency response when needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations for site contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, parking, perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and spot unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, assist with visitor, vehicle, and contractor screening according to site protocols.
• Prepare reports, maintain post records, and report security-related concerns observed during patrols and inspections.

Position Details

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.93 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor screening in accordance with site protocols and restricted-area requirements.
• Support Allied Universal standards by preparing reports, maintaining post records, and reporting maintenance, environmental, and/or security-related concerns observed during patrols and inspections.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
