Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document and report activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with applicable post orders and government facility procedures.
• Maintain required firearms, equipment, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal policies, site requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
