Martinez and Company, Inc. is seeking a disciplined Armed Critical Infrastructure Security Officer for Florida locations in Hillsborough and Manatee Counties.

The role is full-time, 2nd shift, with shifts Mon-Sun from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am and a starting pay of $18.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on site position. Responsibilities include enforcing safety procedures, responding to incidents, and patrolling premises.

Qualifications

• Possession of Florida Class D and G licenses from the State of Florida DOACS is required.
• Completion of 40-hour Unarmed and 28-hour Armed Security Officer Courses.
• TWIC credential required.
• High school diploma or GED or higher.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by implementing safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and using problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business premises and perimeter; work environments vary by client site.

Armed Critical Infrastructure Security Officer

Armed Critical Infrastructure Security Officer

Martinez and Company is actively seeking disciplined, dedicated, and well-trained Florida Class "D" and Armed "G" License Security Officers to join our Critical Infrastructure Security Team.

Locations: Hillsborough County and Manatee County, Florida

Employment Type: Full-Time, 2nd Shift

Various Shifts Available: Monday through Sunday

Shift Time: 12:00 pm – 12:00 am

Starting Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, the pay rate varies based on site position

• Includes 12 hours of new hire paid training between minimum wage and site training at $18/hour.
• Final Interview Process is a 4-hour unpaid Pre-Hire Orientation.

Required Qualifications And Licenses

• Possession of approved Florida Class "D" and "G" licenses from the State of Florida DOACS
• Completion of an approved State of Florida 40-hour Unarmed Security Officer Course and 28-hour Armed Security Officer Course
• Possession of the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Ability to provide proof of high school diploma, college degree, or valid state GED certificate
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving history

Minimum Qualifications And Education

(Candidates MUST meet the following requirements before submitting the job application)

• Current or previous U.S. military or law enforcement experience (documentation required for preference entitlement)
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to commute to assigned job sites
• 24/7 access to a smartphone and computer with internet connectivity
• Intermediate computer skills, including emailing, web browsing, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be self-motivated, resourceful, and able to prioritize tasks
• Strong English communication skills, including reading and writing, and ability to interpret complex instructions, procedures, and regulations
• Ability to work safely in various environments, including commercial and industrial locations
• Capacity to obtain necessary personal uniform items
• Good physical condition, including the ability to walk up and down stairs in limited spaces and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Additional Skills

• Knowledge of security and law enforcement guidelines, including investigative techniques
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and ordinances governing Hillsborough County
• CPR and first aid certifications or ability to obtain them
• College-level education is strongly desired
