Job summary

Windwalker Group is seeking roving armed security guards on a per diem basis in Boston, MA. The position offers hourly pay and requires a strong commitment to safety, discretion, and customer service.

Typical duties include access-control management, protecting people and assets, and ensuring compliance with security procedures. Prior armed-guard experience and a MA LTC are preferred.

Position Type: Per Diem, Roving Armed Security Guard

$25 an hour

Armed Windwalker Security Guards Will Provide a Variety Of Services, Which May Include, But Is Not Limited To The Following Tasks

• Ability to work and cover shifts across all of our armed operations as a company.
• Management of visitors at access control points with a combination of utmost courtesy, decisiveness, and professionalism.
• Consistently resolute professional appearance and demeanor of public-facing employees.
• Validate strict compliance with security standards.
• Emphasis on interaction with affinity participants such as local, state police, and DHS.
• Ensure high standards of conduct/zero tolerance for non-professional behavior.
• Effective and transparent employee discipline procedures.
• High touchpoints between and among contract employees, client management, and company managers.
• Preparedness planning for effective response to potential crises.
• Provide high level customer service to clients through daily interaction with students, staff, faculty and visitors.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to react quickly to a changing environment
• Advanced ability to respond to security breaches and threats.
• Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to inform personnel and visitors of security procedures
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills
• Possess an ability to be flexible and perform a variety of security duties

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role preferred
• An Active LTC for MA with experience holding an Armed Guard role.
• Knowledge of security systems and surveillance equipment preferred
• CPR, First Aid, AED, NARCAN, MOAB, or ACT I, II, or III Certifications highly preferred
• Associates degree or greater in Criminal Justice related studies
• Experience in documenting, observations, customer service and security procedures
