Job summary

The Morongo Band of Mission Indians seeks a Public Safety Officer II to protect tribal assets around the casinos and provide safe, secure service to patrons and staff. The role includes armed escorts during cash pulls, enforcing policy, and responding to incidents with professionalism.

Candidates must be 21+, hold a high school diploma, a CA driver’s license, and a valid BSIS Guard Card. Training is provided for those lacking experience; 12-hour shifts apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to establish and maintain productive working relationships with co-workers and management and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Have the ability to obtain a NIGC key license.
• Must have strong reasoning and guest relations skills.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Provide own firearm and duty gear (uniforms provided).
• Prior experience with licensed Public Safety or Security company or military law enforcement or related degree preferred but not required.
• Prior law enforcement or gaming agency experience welcomed.
• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Current CA State Driver’s license.
• A current BSIS Guard Card is required.
• BSIS Exposed Firearm’s Permit must be obtained within 6 months upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Protect tribal assets in and around the casinos and provide for safety of patrons and employees.
• Conduct armed escorts as needed and perform security duties during cash pulls.
• Stand posts, respond to breaches of the peace, and enforce policies and procedures.
• Interact with patrons and team members professionally; participate in training and firearms qualifications.
• Coordinate with outside law enforcement as required; may be assigned to specialized public safety duties.
