Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a dedicated security professional to protect patients, staff and visitors. The role involves first responder duties, de-escalation, incident documentation, and enforcing hospital policies to maintain a safe environment.

The position requires a GED/HS diploma, 2 years in security or public safety, and relevant certifications. The team supports growth and a commitment to community safety.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in general security or public safety where carrying a firearm is required or equivalent training to demonstrate responsible handling of weapons and use of force.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate Piedmont values and provide excellent customer service to patients, staff and visitors.
• Screen for and interdict weapons entering the facility.
• Maintain security of hospital buildings and parking areas.
• Perform safety routines and emergency security activities; document incidents and investigate initial incidents.
• Monitor at-risk patients and de-escalate difficult situations; respond to aggressive behavior and apply restraints as needed.
• Make sound judgments on use of force to ensure a safe environment.
• Direct traffic when required and assist patients/visitors with directions and emergencies.
• Support crime prevention and a secure work environment through observation and intervention.
