Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health's Advocate Medical Group in Aurora, IL is seeking a Public Safety Officer I - Armed for the morning shift, Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This full-time role requires a FOID card and completion of an armed course within 90 days, along with a capability to carry a department firearm and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Typically 1 year in security/public safety or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and able to obtain state firearms credentials.

• Patrol interior and exterior areas and monitor for safety hazards.
• De-escalate incidents and respond to emergencies per training.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and first responders as needed.
• Prepare timely incident reports and support security education.
