Job summary

Prosegur is seeking a senior security leader to direct USPS security operations across multiple locations in the United States. The role requires 24/7 accountability, development of site security plans, and oversight of investigations and staffing strategies.

The ideal candidate will manage budgets, ensure KPI and audit compliance, and coordinate with law enforcement to maintain client safety and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience directing security operations across multiple locations.
  • Experience managing staffing, overtime, and budgets in a security program.
  • Strong understanding of contract obligations, KPIs, and audits.
  • Experience analyzing performance data to identify risks and corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal security regulations and firearms rules.

  • Oversees workforce planning, recruitment strategies, retention initiatives, and staffing forecasts to maintain readiness.
  • Coordinates with law enforcement and external agencies during investigations and incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides overall leadership and strategic direction for all assigned USPS security operations, ensuring consistent service delivery, contract compliance, and operational excellence across multiple locations.
  • Maintains 24/7 operational accountability for all assigned sites and remains available to respond to critical incidents, staffing challenges, client concerns, and emergency situations as needed.
  • Provides input in the development and execution of site-specific security plans, post orders, operational procedures, and contingency plans to ensure consistency across all locations.
  • Analyzes operational trends, staffing levels, overtime utilization, incident reports, and performance data to identify risks and implement corrective action plans.
  • Ensures all locations successfully meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), contractual obligations, client deliverables, and audit requirements.
  • Directs and oversees investigations involving employee misconduct, policy violations, significant incidents, customer complaints, and security breaches.
  • Develops succession plans and leadership pipelines by identifying, mentoring, and preparing supervisors and high-potential employees for advancement opportunities.
  • Oversees workforce planning, recruitment strategies, employee retention initiatives, and staffing forecasts to maintain full operational readiness.
  • Manages labor budgets, payroll oversight, overtime controls, and operational expenses to ensure financial performance aligns with company objectives.
  • Conducts formal performance evaluations for supervisory personnel and ensures corrective action procedures are administered consistently and in accordance with company policy.
  • Leads contract start-ups, transitions, expansions, and special projects while ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
  • Ensures readiness for internal audits, client inspections, regulatory reviews, and security assessments through ongoing compliance monitoring and corrective action tracking.
  • Monitors performance, quality assurance programs, and reporting mechanisms to measure operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinates and facilitates recurring leadership meetings with supervisors to communicate company initiatives, client expectations, operational changes, and best practices.
  • Provides input on business continuity and emergency preparedness programs and ensures that all site personnel know their roles in emergency response plans. Conducts drills and exercises in partnership with USPS leadership.
  • Reviews and approves staffing models, schedules, post assignments, and resource allocations to ensure optimal coverage and operational efficiency across all assigned locations.
  • Promotes a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, and customer service while reinforcing Prosegur values and expectations.
  • Coordinates with law enforcement, postal inspectors, emergency responders, and other external agencies during investigations, emergencies, and security incidents while ensuring proper evidence preservation and reporting procedures.
  • Conducts or delegates recurring site inspections, quality assurance reviews, and security assessments to ensure compliance with physical security standards and post order requirements.
  • Maintains oversight of security equipment, site assets, credentials, keys, uniforms, and operational resources to ensure readiness and accountability across all assigned locations.
  • Reviews and approves operational expenditures, equipment purchases, and maintenance requests in accordance with budgetary guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience: Background in Military Police, law enforcement, or certified corrections is required
  • Firearms: Must have own firearm and a valid license to carry; an armed guard license is required in applicable states
  • Training: Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use is preferred
  • Compliance: Understanding of and commitment to all local, state, and federal security and firearm regulations
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have obtained Top Security Clearance in the past 5 years
  • Must have obtained a Security Clearance in the past 5 years
