Qualifications

• Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols to deter incidents and monitor designated areas.
• Verify credentials and control access to restricted areas per site rules.
• Respond to incidents calmly, follow protocols, and request assistance when needed.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain activity logs for site leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials and authorization as required, and report access‑control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and requesting additional assistance when appropriate.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain required activity logs, and promptly communicate observations and incidents to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
