Job summary

Allied Universal in Troy, NC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Patrol Driver) to protect clients across government and other facilities. This role combines customer service with vigilant security duties and requires a valid driver’s license and armed-guard credentials where applicable.

You will conduct armed patrols, monitor restricted access, respond to incidents, and document activities per site procedures.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license required.
Armed guard card/license preferred.
Firearms permit preferred.
Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background check conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals while carrying out security-related procedures at government locations.
Conduct armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points and parking areas.
Monitor access to restricted areas and verify authorization.
Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner and coordinate with appropriate personnel.
Document observations and required reports accurately and promptly.
