Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and according to established protocols; notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor activity and incidents.
• Maintain professional armed presence and complete required reports and communications.
