Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed for a healthcare location in Delray Beach, FL. You will monitor and patrol, provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, and respond to incidents while upholding safety and professional standards.

Responsibilities include guarding access points, documenting observations, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and follow established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and help maintain orderly movement of people and vehicles in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate observations, incidents, and follow-up needs to appropriate personnel.
