Nemours seeks a Constable II to join our Wilmington, DE team. This armed role protects staff, patients, visitors and associates while patrolling facilities and controlling access to maintain safety and order.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, de-escalating incidents, escorting individuals as needed, and assisting with emergency drills in coordination with hospital leadership. Delaware Constable license and CPR/AED certification are required.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma required, 1 year of specialized training beyond High School.
• State of Delaware Constable License required
• Minimum of 1 year security or law enforcement experience required
• Must have a valid State Driver’s license and be able to operate authorized hospital vehicles.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background and MMPI testing (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory).

Aufgaben

• Patrol hospital buildings, grounds and vehicles to deter threats and secure doors.
• Investigate suspicious activity, interview victims and witnesses, collect evidence.
• De-escalate disruptive behavior and restrain combative individuals as needed.
• Provide first responder threat assessments and escort patients or visitors as required.
• Respond to alarms and coordinate with security leadership during emergencies.
