Position Overview: Guard Force Manager
Compensation
This is a salaried position with an annual pay range of $40,000 – $44,000, based on experience and qualifications. Additional bonus potential is available and will be determined by performance, training completion, and overall operational success.
Duties and Responsibilities
Security Operations Management
- Oversee all security operations to ensure the protection of client property, personnel, and assets.
- Ensure consistent enforcement of all security policies, procedures, post orders, and contractual obligations.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve site‑specific security programs and operational procedures.
- Monitor overall site performance and implement corrective actions where deficiencies are identified.
Leadership and Personnel Management
- Directly manage, supervise, and lead all assigned security personnel, including supervisors and officers.
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain qualified security staff to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Conduct performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and coaching to ensure high standards of performance.
- Foster a professional, accountable, and team‑oriented work environment.
- Ensure all personnel are properly trained, licensed, and compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
Scheduling and Workforce Management
- Develop and manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and posts.
- Monitor overtime, attendance, and workforce utilization to maintain operational efficiency.
- Address call‑offs, scheduling conflicts, and staffing shortages in a timely manner.
Incident and Emergency Management
- Provide leadership and oversight during incidents, emergencies, and critical situations.
- Ensure proper response protocols are followed and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
- Review all incident reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Conduct post‑incident analysis and implement corrective or preventive measures.
Client Relations and Communication
- Serve as the primary liaison between the client and the security team.
- Maintain regular communication with the client to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
- Address client concerns, provide updates, and ensure overall satisfaction with security services.
- Conduct regular site meetings and provide operational reports as required.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce vulnerabilities.
- Maintain all required documentation, licensing, and certifications.
Reporting and Documentation
- Oversee the completion and accuracy of all reports, including Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, and logs.
- Maintain detailed operational records and ensure proper documentation is submitted to leadership and clients.
- Analyze reports and trends to identify areas for improvement.
Training and Development
- Develop and implement training programs for all security personnel.
- Ensure ongoing training in areas such as emergency response, customer service, and site‑specific procedures.
- Mentor supervisors and officers to support career development and succession planning.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
- Conduct regular performance audits and site inspections to ensure service quality.
- Identify operational gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to company standards and contractual obligations at all times.
Qualifications
Education and Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in Security Management or a related field preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of 5‑years of experience in workforce operations, security, military, emergency management, law enforcement, and/or a related field.
- Proven experience in overseeing and managing workforce teams, conducting staff training, and handling personnel issues.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of security/law enforcement or military workforce operations, surveillance systems, and emergency response protocols.
- Proficient in using security technology such as CCTV, access control systems, and alarm monitoring.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and resolve conflicts within a team setting.
Other
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and maintain a clean record.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand and walk for long/extended periods of time, climb stairs multiple times/day, perform foot patrol around perimeter.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
