Silver Star Protection Group is seeking a Full-time Armed Security Guard for client sites in St. Louis, MO. The role requires an armed license, ability to pass a drug test, and readiness to work flexible shifts (Fri-Sun 7pm–7am, Wed 1pm–7pm).

The guard protects people and assets and may be assigned to multiple client sites. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, an armed license, and previous security experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Cannabis agent ID preferred.
• Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Able to pass a drug test (St. Louis specific).
• Previous armed security or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed; schedule and locations may change based on client needs.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff; foster a secure environment.
• Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment; adhere to client protocols.
• Accurately document incidents, security breaches, or irregularities and report them to leadership.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership.

Position Overview

The Security Guard is responsible for providing security services at a client site(s) during scheduled shifts. The guard's schedule, site assignments, and hours are subject to change based on client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, and contract adjustments. While SSPG strives to accommodate preferred schedules, flexibility is essential for the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed. Schedule and locations may change depending on client needs, staffing requirements, or other operational factors.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff. Ensure that all communication fosters a positive and secure environment.
• Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment, ensuring adherence to the client’s security protocols.
• Accurately document any incidents, security breaches, or irregularities, and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
• Additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership team.

Schedule and Availability

• Guards are expected to work scheduled shifts at their assigned client sites.
• Shifts, site assignments, and schedules are subject to change based on client and SSPG needs.
• Flexibility is required to work additional shifts, including on-call or emergency coverage when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Armed License Required.
• Already have or able to obtain a cannabis agent ID.
• Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Able to pass a drug test (St. Louis specific)
• Previous armed security or related experience preferred.
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
• Capability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
