Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Operations in Palo Alto, CA. This full-time role requires a valid driver's license and armed credentials, with a pay rate of $40.00 per hour.

You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter unauthorized activity, provide excellent customer service, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports while upholding company standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• 40 caliber endorsement required.
• California weapons permit with 9mm endorsement required.
• Valid driver’s license per policy requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, parking, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs/reports.
• Report hazards and policy violations to site contacts and supervision.
