Akima Infrastructure Protection (AIP) seeks an Armed Detention Officer to work on-site in St. Paul, MN. The role entails safeguarding detainees and the public, enforcing security policies, and maintaining readiness with weapons and communications equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand incident reports and written orders.
• Ability to greet and interact professionally with the public.
• Maintain physical fitness and meet law enforcement/CDL requirements.
• Obtain and maintain armed state security guard license in MN or NE.
• Must pass background checks, drug tests, medical exam, and health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Guard and safeguard detainees and the public in custodial or court settings.
• Qualify on firearms course and maintain equipment and weapons as required.
• Document incidents legibly in processing logs and reports.
• Conduct security and sanitation checks of the area before shift changes.
• Perform duties with safety policies and adherence to Use of Force policies.
