Job summary

United Security Inc. is seeking a Per-Diem Armed Detention Officer to join our team in Camden, NJ. The position offers flexible shifts and requires carrying permits, with travel between NJ and PA on a per diem basis.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of detention, law enforcement, or military police experience. Competitive pay and benefits are provided for full-time positions, along with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of detention officer, law enforcement, or military police experience.
• State Unrestricted Carry Permit in NJ and PA or HR 218.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security of prisoners in the courtroom.
• Escort prisoners to and from the holding cells to the courtrooms utilizing handcuffs, shackles, and other restraints.
• Escort prisoner in medical facilities if admitted.
• Transport prisoners from correctional institutes to courthouse & medical facilities.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Officer must travel between NJ & PA on a per diem basis.
