United Security Inc. in Baltimore is seeking an Armed Detention Officer with at least 3 years of detention, law enforcement, or military police experience for per-diem shifts.

The role supports government contractors and involves courtroom security and prisoner transport. Candidates must hold a State Armed Carry Permit and a State Armed Security License, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and be able to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain security of prisoners in the courtroom.
• Escort prisoners to and from the holding cells to the courtrooms utilizing handcuffs, shackles, and other restraints.
• Escort prisoner in medical facilities if admitted.
• Transport prisoners from correctional institutes to courthouse & medical facilities.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
